INTENTION OF DESIGN
The Mohawk Belt is a certified NFPA 1983:2022 Fire Resistance (FR) Escape/Ladder* Belt (with MUS). It was designed to live on an apparatus and be used by the firefighter scheduled for that position or quickly adjusted on the fly by a firefighter, even if they are responding from the station to a call. It only takes seconds to change the gross rear adjuster; the fine side adjuster can tighten it once donned. Built to accommodate different bailout systems. Both sides of the belt can be utilized to carry equipment. A rear NFPA positioning point is not an available option with this belt. The Mohawk has one fixed D-Ring as an NFPA Attachment/Positioning point.
OVERVIEW
The Mohawk Belt is a certified NFPA 1983:2022 Fire Resistance (FR) Escape/Ladder* Belt. It is a one-size-fits-all belt that is easily adjustable on the fly. The accessory Kevlar gear loops are located on both sides, and the modular design of this belt allows accessories such as ax loops and bailout systems to be placed on either side of the belt.
A patented Multi-Use strap (MUS) can be added, and it functions as an NFPA ladder strap, a one-leg harness, and can be used to perform various RIT and victim carries/drags. The MUS can be neatly stowed inside an accessory pouch attached to the belt or in a turnout pocket.
The Mohawk series is constructed with 1.75” Kevlar® webbing and comes standard with an attachment point for the bailout and/or connecting an NFPA ladder strap.

VERSATILITY
The Mohawk is an NFPA Escape Belt and ladder Belt*; it uses an upgradable modular design. Rapidly fitted to individuals from 28” to 50” and both left or right-handers. Easily adjusted to any firefighter with a fast gross adjustment on the back of the belt and a fine six-inch (6”) adjustment on the front. This belt can be outfitted with various bailout systems and accessories for versatility.
MODULAR & UPGRADABLE
The belt accessories can be added at any time. This keeps the cost of the initial purchase down. You only need to buy one belt and add accessories to meet your requirements.
